For the first time in almost 5 years, an increase observed in non-EU students’ applications to British undergraduate studies with over 11% growth in 2017. The applications to EU have increased by more than 3 percent. The total number of international applicants to British Universities crossed 100,000 for the first time in 2018.
International applicants grew by over 11% year by year to reach 58,450 – the highest ever-recorded number of application from this segment. As always, and with any leading destination for studying, the first students to apply are from China and India. This year is no different; 11% increase in non-EU applications to British universities included 20% increase from Chinese applicants and 36% increase from Indian applicants.
